Hi all -

I have recently installed Snitz and it seems to be working OK. I am using the database authentication method, which I modified a bit using the instructions here to take advantage of a login setup I already had in place elsewhere on my website. At any rate, the login procedure works and users can post to the forums, however, if they want to modify their profile, they are forced to log in again. Is there any way to stop this behavior?

Thanks,

Michael

No, its supposed to do this. If you were to log in to a public computer and forget to log out this keeps other people from coming in behind you and editing your profile.

This has been discussed before, and a quick search should come up with all sorts of in-depth related discussions.

You have to confirm your credentials before you undertake an advanced action (for instance, deleting posts) as a confirmation and assurance that you have to be sure you want to do it, and that you are the right person to do it (so a shoulder-surfing hostile idiot doesn't jump on the keyboard whilst you're in the loo and delete your forums!)
