Hi people :-)
I wonder if anybody can help me ?
I've just put on the "Antispam Registration Add-On", I have not placed the gif files on the server as I'm already using them for the anti-spam on the guestbook (which works great). When please are now trying to register, the get the bit for the anti-spam, but instead of showing the gif images, it simply says the word "code" ?
Please check it out at www.tredegar.co.uk/forum/register.asp?mode=Register
Any ideas what I've done wrong
Thanks,
Pierre |

Hi,
I do not have an image directory, so I'm using the std format of putting the images file in the std folder. The help on the forum say.....
"Enter the location where your images are located. If you have not moved the images from their default location, then just leave this field blank."
Are we saying that I must have a different images folder for the Mod to work ? |

Hi,
YOUR RIGHT - THANK YOU :-)
Even if you don't have a separate images folder, you need one with the gif's in to work.
Thanks for your help on this - lets hope it keeps the spammers out :-)

Hi,
Hold everything. It now works, but it no longer send's out e-mail (via google mail) to the person to validate their account. Is it something I've done ? It worked before I put the mod on ?
Have a go at registering at www.tredegar.co.uk/forum/register.asp?mode=Register
Thanks for your help on this,
Pierre |

Did you get as notification message via e-mail to confirm ?
I have sent an e-mail from the forum to a user, and that was OK, so its not googlemail.
Must be an eror in register.asp maybe ?

Another Anti-Spam extra to add would be Shaggy's Birthdate Require mod, See http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=63786 The small piece of code ensures all new registrations have to manually select your birthdate via three pull-down option boxes. Weve done it and its a great 'Shaggy Masterpiece'. Incidentally, where did you get that AntiSpam Registration Mod? |
