install IESpell in your browser, the check spelling button should then appear in the forum

HuwR, I think he meant the button you see in the Quick Reply/etc. here.

I thought there were some instructions up on www.snitzbitz.com ...

No.... not in any package I've downloaded...

It could be a good idea though.

Really cause the iespell just shows up on mine. Before i installed it said to Get ieSpell and then after it showed up as Check Spelling or whatever. This was in my base package I believe cause I have never installed any mod on spelling before.

Was it added in 3.4.06? I never saw it when I used a stock 3.4.04 or 3.4.05...

I haven't used a stock install since I stumbled across the SB2 version. I've been meaning to take the 3.4.06 and modify it to be compatable with all the SB2 stuff I've done so I can update my codebase a litte easier... but that's another discussion for another time.

I have only downloaded 3.4.06 I have not been around long enough for the older ones Anon I think Muzhisin or something like that is making a 3.4.06 css version you might want to talk with him before going to that work or maybe he would like help not sure but he mentioned it about a month ago.

The CSS'd version that he's working on is a much more extensive re-write than what I think is necessary. He's actually going through and replacing the table-based layout with the new vogue <div> based layout. I'm not saying one is better than the other, just that if I used his, I'd have to re-write all the MODs I use again (and more extensively at that) - and I'd rather not do that if I can help it.

Edit: I should probably add that this is an entirely different (and off-topic) discussion that would probably be deserving of its own thread.

actually there is no valid reason to replace all the tables with divs, things like forum.asp,default.asp,active.asp and members.asp should be in tables, that is what tables are for, displaying tabulated data, divs are not designed for that

Like I said, I know why he's doing it - I just don't agree with it. But that's another topic for another time.

BTW, do you know if/when the IE Spell code was added to the codebase? Like I mentioned earlier, I never saw it in the earlier stock versions.

I don't know that it is, I just assumed that it was because it is working here.

Ok. I may take a look tonight when I get home. I've started swimming again to get rid of the "programmer's padding" I've acquired in my 3 years behind a desk, and its left me rather tired when I make it home.... but in a good way - I've already taken 1/2" off the waistline.
