Is it possible to change a User Name (maybe a spelling mistake)?
Thanks

As an admin, you can do this by editing the profile of the member in question from members.asp.
|
Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |

Thanks
Is there some documentation I may be missing?
Like a manual for Snitz Forums.
Thanks again.

Aha,
It's because I am Administator, can't change my User Name...
What do I do? make a new Admin and then delete me?
Or f I make a new Admin (can I make a new Admin?) can that Admin change my name?
I'll try.

Like a manual for Snitz Forums.
It's currently a work in progress.

Yes, that would be one way to do it; create a new members with the new username, modify the profile to make that user an administrator and then change the superadmin ID in config.asp. Alternatively, you could manually edit the name directly in the database.

You should be able to edit your name, if you visit members.asp and then click the pencil icon... That works for non superadmins admins, but not for the superadmin. Better follow Shaggy's advice. |
