One of my members has tried to post a hyperlink to a website on my forum but it doesn't display properly. I think it is because it has the letters www in the domain name and this confuses the forum.

This is what i mean

http://www.rws1.alivewww.co.uk/windows

it should be

w w w . r w s 1 . a l i v e w w w .c o . u k

Any ideas how to stop this happening?

no currently because of the way the forum parses url's there is now way around this if you want it to appear as a link, you can post it so that the forum will not parse it like so

http://www.rws1.alivewww.co.uk/windows

if you do a reply with quote, you will see how I did that

except the no parse tag still wouldn't work because of the way urls are substituted the edit_hrefs function parses urls without tags

Thanks for the reply, I used a tinyurl in place of the link but will try that method in future.
