What in particular are you looking for? Have you made any modifications to the forum?
The readme has some help on it too... |

No, I have not made any modifications, I just want to know how to do a clean upgrade without screwing up anything. I am using an Access database. Thanks |

I am not 100% sure here so Anon correct me if I am wronge but Shouldn't you just be able to erase all the old files in the old forum except the Database. Then change the config.asp to see the existing database and then run setup.asp? I think that should upgrade to the new version and keep the existing members and their passwords? Again I am not sure if this is the proper way of doing this but it should work. If I am wronge please correct me anybody that knows better :)

You are correct. Last I checked, if you have made no modifications to the code, you can replace the existing files (not the database) with the new ones and edit the config file to point to the old DB. Re-run setup.asp and all should be ok.
As always, make a backup of everything before you begin, just in case. |

To run the setup.asp file you need to goto the url of your forum and then type setup.asp example:
www.yourdomain.com/forum/setup.asp
This will run the setup.asp file and you should have a working forum. |

By the way Annon maybe you can tell me how to do this. But how would I remove the hyperlink from the above link? I want to show the address but not make it a link? I know this is probably a dumb question lol. |

you can't because it starts with www the forum assumes it is a url, to not hyperlink it you would need to do something like snitz.mydomain.com/forum/setup.asp |

You can break the URI up with other forum tags:
www.xyz.com -> www.xyz.com
|
Search is your friend “I was having a mildly paranoid day, mostly due to the fact that the mad priest lady from over the river had taken to nailing weasels to my front door again.” |
