Does anyone know how to migrate the postings from an old phpbb forum into an existing snitz 2000 forum? |

I'd like to know the answer to this as well, if it's possible.... |

I'm afraid I don't know anything about phpbb so can't give an answer, it would most likely depend on whether or not the passwords in phpbb are encrypted, if they are, and it uses different encryption to Snitz then it is going to be fairly difficult

Also, there are no previous posted scripts to perform the whole migration. There is a post about user migration, it can be found by searching the archives for the General help forum with 'phpbb' as the search keyword. |

Hi,
I looked on the PHPBB forum --- http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/ --- and did a search on "password encryption." I found a posting that said, "They are md5 hashed in the database."
MD5 hashed sounds like a cross between a British government intelligence agency, and something you eat for breakfast.
Does this mean they're encypted, or does it mean something else?
There are lots of scripts on the PHPBB forum to migrate other forums into PHPBB, but no mention of Snitz. |
