Using MSSQL Server, I believe the database table is getting too large to search. I'm using the updated script for MSSQL Server but I'm now getting timeouts.

I'd rather not extend the timeout and the community members have asked me to not archive (there are only 3500 topics) yet.

Are there other alternatives?

Has anyone moved to FullText?

I've seen a few search enhancements floating around here, but (and this is just a guess) I'd suspect that archiving would be a better help.

I'm using the search enhancement for MSSQL Server.

Has anyone used FullText? I suspect that would help.

Theres a FullText search mod lying around. Maybe you should try it.

I found it. It's ironic that as I searched for it in one category that I got a time out here too! I guess FT is not applied to this forum?
