Hi there,
My forum: http://forum.djpages.com/default has gone wrong after the Win2K3 server had some updates applied and rebooted last night. It can not view forums or posts, as I get this error:

ADODB.Recordset error '800a0bb9'

Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.

/forum.asp, line 330

And the forum has no styles for some reason. Can anyone help me?

Cheers,

Steve

Are you sure it's because of the updates? I've had that error msg several times and it has always been errors in the code or some field in the db that was empty or stuff like that. Tried a search for the error here at snitz?

Its very strange, I went in thru the SQL Enterprise and the URL for the forum was set to one that hasnt been used in over 3 years! Once I gave it the correct URL it was fine.

It got fine cause I ran setup.asp. The app variables values was lost due to the server reset and running setup.asp fixed all that.

Yeah I just realised I was looking at the old config table. I have restarted the server many times in the past without this happening, why did it happen this time?

Well the app variables, for some reason, didn't load. When that happens, just run setup.

Actually, I think this is the first reboot since I moved from Win2K to Win2K3 about 6 months ago. I will remember what you did in case it happens again.

Thanks for the excellent support!
