[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.0.18-nt]Invalid default value for 'M_APPROVE'

I get this error when trying to install the program. I started with a blank database and a fresh unzip of the program.

I can to to the site but when I click admin options I get.

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e37'

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.0.18-nt]Table 'dandjelectrical.forum_members_pending' doesn't exist

/forum/admin_home.asp, line 49

can anyone help?

Ate line #233, inc_create_forum_mysql.asp, where you now have

	strSql = strSql & "M_APPROVE smallint (6) DEFAULT '' , "

delete the red part.

Then try running setup.asp again, but do it like this:

http://WhateverYourForumURLIs/setup.asp?RC=5

This will make the forum create the DB tables again.

That made the program say that the database was created successfully, but I still cannot log into admin options. I still get the same error.

Did you use the RC=5 querystring option?

Make sure you are not using a cached version of that page by refreshing the page with CTRL+F5. With RC=5 all your tables were recreated, which means that the table error should have gone away. Likely you're just seeing a cached version of the page, so try force a page refresh.

Still not go.

I have 16 tables in my data base. Should there be more?

Yeah, 16 tables are what a newly created forum should have. What error message are you getting now?

Where did you check the number of tables? Can you use the same strategy to verify whether that table does indeed exist? What tool are you using for this?

Can you use that interface to remove all the tables and then run setup.asp again?

So the table is not yet being created, but you get no errors when you run setup.asp?

If I run the program from scratch I get the error that I stated in the very first message of this thread followed by a very long line of code.
