I went through the proceedures to configure my email several times.
I followed all of the directions Meticulously.
I tried every combination of things that I could think of, in the Forum, in GoDaddy, my Verizon account and my Outlook Express.
I tried creating different sub-accounts and I got the same results with all of them.
The major problem that I am having is that when the email link is clicked in the forum it opens my Outlook Express and reveals my Entire Address Book.
I got an error message on the ones that didn't work but, All of the configuration combinations that did work continued to reveal me Entire Address Book, regardless of what I did with my Address Book as well.
My cure-all at this point was to just delete the forum and hope that someone here can help me to get it to work correctly.

If you are clicking on the link in the FAQ section that say's "Can't find your answer here..." it will open your default email client (in your case Outlook Express) and prepare to allow you to send an email. As far as it revealing your address book, only you will be able to see that. No one else will have access to that.
If you are afraid others will see your address book, you could try inserting this MOD. Instead of it opening your email client, it will open a popup window allowing someone to send you an email without revealing your email address. It's pretty easy to install, but if you have problems, post them here and I can help you.
If you want to "see it in action" go to my FAQ page and click on the send an email link. |

It seems to me that you didn't turn email mode on. No one will ever have access to even your email address, let alone your address book. You should be aware that you only get all your address book, because you are opening your email client in your own computer. No one else will have access to your computer when someone else tries to use forum email!
Turn Email mode on, in Admin Options->Email Server Configuration. |

Well again, I followed the instructions the best that I could and it resulted in this;
The Installation has NOT been completed !
There were 13 Critical Errors... And showed this; http://img23.imagevenue.com/img.php?loc=loc100&image=65452_DataBaseProblems.jpg

Charles,
I had it setup for you, and I could of worked out the e-mail issue, but since the forum is no longer funtioning, I can not help you any further with it. Would you like me to set your forum up again? I will need the details e-mailed to me again.
