I'm using ver. 3.04.05 forum. I only have one category so i do not wish to have a "Change Category Group" pull down menu. I want to remove it completly so that the only thing above my forum is the login, the links to the forum and the "where i'm at in the forum" links.

Is this even possible?

Just set Group Categories to Off, in Admin Options->Feature Configuration.
