I checked all the files I could thing of that would have functions and neither had chkForumAccessNew, only chkForumAccess in inc_func_secure.asp . I don't think I can upgrade without doing some massive work first in editing inc_header to fit my layout and what not. It's quite a daunting task. Thanks for your help, not really nothing I can do but find someone to do all the changes in my files to get me up to the latest version. Thanks. The problem is basically the same the one in your link, though the fixes applied were to active.asp and mentioned they were done similarly done to search.asp.. just had an idea, going to go and try it, will report back if it worked or not. fixed I copied the function chkForumAccessNew that is in the latest inc_func_secure.asp to my file and used the search.asp file from the latest version as well. That fixed my problem. Thanks!
