DTS is still there, even if integrated, but it was also accessible from EM.

My contact with the latest SQL Server 2005 version was with a September version. I used the import / export features from the SQL Management Console, just as I did most times with SQL Server 2000, which I mainly used directly from EM, using the Import or Export data options.

Confusing... maybe I could have stated it more clearly.

I guess I also need to gain more knowledge about this latest version... but I haven't decided to let go of SQL Server 2000 yet.

I have the November 2005 CTP and the import/export feature is missing. At least I cannot find it.

I have the release (developer) version. Just needed to decide where to install it.

The Import / Export feature is available from SQL Server Management Studio, simply by right clicking a database, just as it happened with EM.

Not on mine I'm afraid. I know where it used to be in EM.

I don't know whether it is/was necessary (still finding my way around this version), but did you install Integration Services?
