I need to integrate my forum into my existing site layout, keeping the site's top and left navigation, footer, etc and I can't find any documentation on doing that.

Just changing the logo, bg image and table colors/fonts in the forum admin is not going to be enough.

Can anyone give me some advice? Or point me in the direction of some documentation on this topic?

Try the Site Integration Mod at snitzbitz.com. Should make it a whole lot easier.

I can 100% vouch for that! Took about 25 minutes to install. You can see it in action on my forum (in my sig). I have the left, header, and footer enabled. If you click to a non-forum page from there, you will see what a nice job it does "blending in".

It is, you just need to be a little careful when changing the files, specially inc_footer.asp.

I have followed all instructions for loading the site integration MOD, I have closed browser windows and loged out, but when I go back I just can't find Site Integration Configuration under Admin Options.
Any suggestions?

Then you missed a step. One of the instructions includes adding the proper link on admin_home.asp.
