When I create a private forum for an allowed members list, upon submitting the form I get a F.E.E. in MSIE and it closes. When I come back to the forum, everythings ok and the forum has been created. I can then edit it and whatever, but everytime I make a new private forum, IE falls on it's face.
Anybody else seen this? |

Using 6.0.2900 on XP,SP2 Have tried other machines here in the shop XPPro SP2, XP Pro SP1, winME. All had the same. As soon as you hit the 'submit changes' button it just blinks out! |

ok, update: it is only happening when I use the 'add all' >> button on the allowed members section. I tried to test another one w/out doing the add all and it went through ok. Tried another with the >> and it crashed again |

met with a friend tonite to work over the settings, and now it's not causing the crash. Changed a few settings in the admin panel and it's behaving nicely now. I'll see if I can replicate the issue here. Seems to be an issue with certain parameters being set in the admin panel, but I'm not sure. I'll let you know as I find out in the next couple of days.

one other thing, can't imagine why it would make a difference, but maybe it will trigger someone's logic synapsis. We only had four users signed up (it's not publicly launched yet) but had two more sign on since the problem occurred. Haven't looked deeply enough at the code to see if there is some type of error because of the >> (# of users) causing a fault in a loop or something. Again, not sure how that section works...just throwing it out as a potential thought trigger. |

Seemed to have worked itself out after I changed some settings. Unfortunately, I don't know what I changed...it was in the course of setting up security levels and I didn't keep track of it. Now it's running smooth for a couple of months and I'm happy...If I can just get the events calendar MOD working on my test site!
Thanks for everyone's attention...sorry I didn't keep in touch. |
