Got a problem after installing
Hamilns Avitar MODV1.3

This is the code :at line 173- 1174

Do I need to put the url of the avatar in here: URL = " "or can it be done through Admin. Is this what's missing...?

You really should reconsider, its the best avatar mod there is.

Your problem lies in that you added a line at the wrong spot.

You have:

end if regAvatar_Image = Request.Form("AVATAR_URL")

Where it should be:

end if
regAvatar_Image = Request.Form("AVATAR_URL")

If you run into any more problems jsut post them and we will resolve the problem.
