I've installed the latest version, 3.4.05, and I can login fine. But when a colleague of mine tries to login (he has registered successfully) it says he's logged in fine, but then shows the login box. He can post but has to login every time. We've tried ticking and unticking the save password box. We've tried all sorts of logins (tried using mine that was registered from my machine, setup an account just from mine and he couldn't login).
Does anyone have any thoughts please?
Many thanks in advance. |

Does he have cookies enabled? I had a problem with mine when it wasn't saving the cookies. Not sure whether that was the direct cause, but I would guess that since it stores the login information and preferences that it couldn't help. Jon |

Hi, he has them enabled, but it doesn't seem to write a cookie. |

I am the person trying to login and it accepts the login but does nothing afterward - it does not show that I am logged in. This is repeated across all test logins we have set up including admin ones.
I can however login to this forum on the same PC and it works fine, so it must be a local setting issue.
Cookies have been cleared, history cleared etc, Security level dropped to no avail. Background scanners for virus and spyware have been stopped to no avail.
Could it be a security setting on the server setup from install?
Thanks

Sounds like another third cookie problem
add the following line below the Response.Buffer line in Config.asp: Response.AddHeader "P3P", "CP=" & chr(34)
And let us know if that helps.
