When someone changes their email address, an email is sent to them. Where do I find the page with that has the contents of that email that is sent? I need to alter the validation link. Currently it sends them to an invalid link.

you shouldn't need to edit the content of the email, if the link is invalid then you have something wrong in your forum config

HuwR is right, of course. Check your forum URL in Admin Options->Main Configuration.

I am havning the same problem, I did look in the Admin Options->Main Configuration and I am not sure what the problem is. Also as soon as I approve them this is suppose to send out an e-mail but they aren't getting them.

Thanks for your help,
Justin

Double-check your e-mail settings. If you don't have the correct settings for your server (or if it isn't turned on), it won't send an e-mail.

On my E-mail Server Configuration I have the Following
Select e-mail Component CDOSYS (IIS5/5.1/6) Only Option
E-mail Mode is on
E-mail server address is mail.mywebsite.com I have even tired www.mywebsite.com
Admin address is mine
Then Require, Email Validation, Restrict Registration, Require logon for sending mail are all on

Could the reason be that I don't have a ASPmail option?

Thanks for your help,
Justin

It depends on what your host supports. If you look through the documentation for your host you should be able to find out what (if any) e-mail components are supported. And from there you should be able to find out what config settings need to be used.

I have my own server and I am just not sure why this isn't working. Is there a setting in SMB 2003 that I could have overlooked? I will look into this to see what I can figure out. Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help,
Justin

Having never run my own server, I'm afraid I won't be of much more use to you on this one... I'm sure someone here knows about what e-mail components may be installed and how to set them up.

Now that I think about it though, I seem to remember there being a script somewhere that would show you what components were available... maybe a quick search could turn it up?
