Hi...
I'm using version 3.4.04 with Access 2000 db.
My question is:
Exists the possibility for a member to delete his own account without admin intervention? Thanks for any suggestion or comments.

Becuase that's not a feaure of the base install of Snitz and, as far as I know, there's no Mod available to offer that functionality.

Ok Shaggy, thanks.
I suppose i've to ask/check if there are other persons interested in this and if there is someone that can "invent" this "mod".
I don't know if this is the right section to discuss about this...
I'm not a programmer but i know that one of the problems connected with this request is a conflict between user and relative posts already made. Cancelling user = problem with his posts.
So, my idea is simple: when a user decide to cancel his account, every own posts will report "User deleted" instead of his previous member name; and the same "label" for all other members.
Something of similar that appears when a user change his avatar; in the real time it changes for every post already made.
What do you think about?

Easiest thing to do is to have a look at the code used when the admin deletes a member and dupe it up to allow members to delete their own account.

Hi Shaggy,
I know you're expecting this question... In which way?
Could you (or someone else) arrange this special modify (part of code or mod) to test as new feuture?
If not, could you move (for me) this topic in the appropriate section like new mod request, please? (or I've to open a new one?)
Thanks, |

Ay, was fully expecting it, but I'm getting ready to head away for a few weeks, so didn't have time to provide you with the necessary code Someone should be along shortly to sort you out, though.
