I have an issue where a general user sees that forum areas have entries but when they open up the area they don't see the topics to open them.

What could this be?

Check the settings on the drop-down at the right side, above the post area. Make sure the value allows the posts to be seen.

unfortunatly I am behind a firewall so you cant see it.

its weird unless i set genereal users up as moderators they can not see things that others have posted

Do you have moderation on for the forums where you are posting? Check the forum properties. If you want, post a link to a screen such as seen by a moderator.

This is pretty weird... The images are not that clear, since you don't show the same forum for the same person in different roles...

Anyway, is your forum modded?

Never seen anything like it, really. If you're not using moderation for the forums, I'm not seeing how that could happen. Maybe I'm missing something, here, but right now I don't see what...
