First off, I searched the forums so don't tell me to search again.
On my forums, we have graphics forums and stuff. However, some members tend to rip other people's work and claim it as their own. Needless to say, I don't want thieves in those forums. However, I don't mind if they post on another forums.
My question is this: is there a way to block members from being able to post in certain forums but allowed to post everywhere else?
For example, I want person X to be prohibited from posting in Graphics Requests forum but allowed to post everywhere else. |

Simplest way is to make an allowed members list, though its a bit kludgey for a long-term solution. I've heard a lot of good things about the User Group MOD and I think that might be worthwhile as a long term solution. |

Problem with that is that I'd have to constantly adjust the list as new members come on.
What does the usergroup mod allow? |

User Groups mod allows you to define permissions on a group basis. Like that, you just assign a member to a proper group and he'll have the permissions assigned to the group. It's much easier to manage, since it's group based. Besides that, the mod allows you to specify read, write or specific denied access permissions, which is something you are not able to do with the base Snitz. With the base Snitz, you can just add a member to an allowed list and nothing else. Once he is in the list, he'll have read / write access. With the mod you can define read only access. |

I thought it would be a better long-term solution. Hope it works out. |
