i'm trying to install the easy moderator edit mod. the pop-up works in the admin section, but on default.asp the icon won't show up in the admin tools to the right of the forum. when i look at the base code, the a href is there, but the img src isn't. here's the text for default.asp with the mod for the moderator edit at about line 730...

www.vynsane.com/forum/default.txt

btw, in the call for the image it calls it

& getCurrentIcon(strIconModerator, ...

but the image itself is called icon_edit_moderator.gif

i tried changing it to icon_moderator.gif, but got nothing. do i have to add something to the DB to let it know where to look for this icon? there's nothing about that in the readme.

well, thanks for everyones help... so i was able to look through the forum pages, and yes, i did need to edit another page - inc_iconfiles.asp - the page that tells all the other pages where to look for the images.

i just added the line at the bottom of the other icons thusly:

Const strIconModerator = "icon_edit_moderator.gif|15|15"

not a great mod, and not well implemented. the popup box that asks for the admin user/pass doesn't go along with the other pops, and while i'm the only one to ever see it, it's a glaring incongruity. it will add a good deal of ease of use though. basically i like the functionality of the mod, just not the way anything was done in it. the readme is atrocious, the pop_admin_moderators.asp doesn't look good, and the icon to edit moderators on the default page is really pretty lame. A for funcion, F- for form.

EDIT:

if anyone feels like flexing their ASP muscles, could they re-style the popup for this mod so it looks like the other pop-ups? the code is ridiculous - it uses straight-up html to log in for admin...

pop screen 1 is the moderator mod pop-up which looks like butt. they both look crappy because i made them as small file sizes as possible...
