I am having problems with Quoting on our forums.

We are using the NEW release

What the problem is: When quoting someone, and then editing Quote does not work.

How to reproduce steps:

1)Quote Someone
2)Submit new post (it shows up fine after)
3)Edit Post
4)Submit edit (The quote does not work)

Shows up as follows for example:

<blockquote id="quote"><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id="quote">Quote:<hr size="1" noshade id="quote">Originally posted by slapmonkay

test
<hr size="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">
test

How about a link to your forum. Do you have the Super/Admin/Moderator HTML Only MOD installed?

I suspect that the entry for the quote-tag in inc_func_posting.asp is not longer the same as the one in inc_func_common.asp.
Could you post a link to downloadable versions of both files ?

Find this line in inc_func_posting.asp

 fString = replace(fString, "<hr height=""1"" noshade id=""quote""></blockquote id=""quote""></font id=""quote"">","
", 1, -1, 1)

Add following below it:

 fString = replace(fString, "<blockquote id=""quote""><font size=""" & strFooterFontSize & """ face=""" & strDefaultFontFace & """ id=""quote"">Quote:<hr size=""1"" noshade id=""quote"">","
", 1, -1, 1)
 fString = replace(fString, "<hr size=""1"" noshade id=""quote""></blockquote id=""quote""></font id=""quote"">","
", 1, -1, 1)

Your quote code in inc_func_common.asp is kinda changed (I guess one of mods), I guess above lines would settle it.

Hmm, oh yes, did you change your Font face or height-width settings lately?

For those who may have the same problem in the future and come here looking for a solution, can you post what the problem was and how you fixed it?
