Is there a security hole that allows someone to change the main page of the forum? One of my sites was hacked and the service provider claims it is a hole in Snitz. The actual page was changes. They created every possible homepage file. default.html defulat htm index.html index.htm etc.

Previous versions of the forum have some security holes, yes. It's always good to stay up-to-date on the latest version.

Never remember any security holes that would allow the creation of new files on the server, though.

Have the same thought as Shaggy...perhaps a mod running on the forum (with fso, like the attachments/avatar upload mod) had a hole ?

That looks like a server security issue. Forum security problems allowed the exploiters to have forum control, nothing else. There was a security issue arising from FP extensions, that allowed for home page "defacing". Maybe that's what happened with your site.
