I've had a 15GB for the last couple of years. Even though many people say they have problems with the battery after that kind of time, mine's been fine.
I never thought I'd fill it up but it's getting to the point now where I need to get rid of the crap 'impulse downloads' and start getting my music collection in some kind of order!
One thing I have found since owning an iPod... I can't listen to a full album anymore! It's shuffle songs and clicking next, next, next for me these days. |

CarKnee, how is it working out after a few days? I'm still thinking of getting it. I see there are similar products on ebay but cost a lot less. I wonder if they are the same? |

Yep I saw that today. A buddy of mine got a regular iPod last week and regrets not waiting for this thing...even though he said he heard about rumours. I just wanted the smallest thing I could get with a screen so it's the nano for me.
I just got done ordering that protective coating. I have read a bunch of horror stories online and I'd like to prevent them from happening to me. I have it in a protective silicone case now but the thing is so beautiful I don't want to leave it in there. |

sr_erick, I havent looked at it under a microscope, but so far so good! It goes in my zippered pocket while at the gym, then I throw it on my desk. Literaly. It is holding up very well, and I see no signs of peeling off!
I too want the smallest thing, and FLASH based, with a screen and the Nano fills that void. The video iPod is cool and all, but I wont be watching video while it is in my pocket at the gym. Plus, it is just that much bigger. If I want to watch video on a portable device I will go out and buy a PSP!

The new iPod looks fantastic, maybe I should finally get me one.
I´m quite happy with my iRiver though, it even has radio, which I use a lot and direct encoding, which means I can record from all sources directly into the player, no need of a computer to transfer mucic - iPod doesn´t have that.
This is the one I have: http://www.iriver.at/flash_player.html?p_id=160&L=0&view= |

I'd wait if you're looking for video on an iPod.
You can only use the video for the US and the only real thing you can see is ABC TV shows. I suppose if you have a large bootleg libary of videos it might be more worthwhile.
I think that the 2BG nano is too small. I'd go with the 4GB. |

I'd hold out for something with at least VGA resolution, or even widescreen if I dare, and not the 1/2 VGA that the new iPod has. |
