Hey there,

I currently use MS Access 2000 for my database.

I want to convert to SQL is there a way to write a script to automatically move everything from my Access DB to SQL DB?

Currently with Access it seems that if there is alot of users and they press "Post Topic", enter a forum, or perform a search at the same time, then I will get an error. I think my Access DB is set to allow one instance at a time. How do I make it multiple?

Somehow, I don't know what I did but as an Admin I cannot get past the admin screen anymore. I login, it says "Thanks for participating" then returns me back to the login screen. I am the forum Webmaster/Admin. I have no clue what I did differently. Windows XP, IE, Snitz 3.4.5.

Thanks!

- Zuel

Note - I may take a few days to recieve your email. Hotmail filters all new emails as junk. Would be best to post all questions, concerns in a forum topic to catch my immediate attention. This way others can assist and also correct any similar mistakes.

There are several posts regarding migration from Access to SQL Server. Just use the search pages and search the Help: MS SQL Server forum.

For the second issue, delete your cookies, close all browser windows and try again.

The issue with the multiple users may be due to the fact that Access can only handle a given ammount of concurrent users, and that number depends on your server load.
