As a general rule, do todays forums no longer use the concept of threads? What I mean is that in Snitz (and others) it appears that you reply to a topic, not an individual message in the topic. I see the common concept of reply with quote. However, people have been asking me about sorting responses with their original post and indenting them.

Sorry if this is covered elsewhere, but I didn't locate it by searching.

some other forums are fully threaded some more subject based. Slashdot or b3ta, for instance, are very threaded and a real pain in the backside to read as you're always jumping around between trains of thought

Snitz doesn't support it natively, but is very easy to read and clearly presented. There may be a threading mod out there, I'm sure someone will mention it if there is. It's a taste thing, really ;-)
