I'm in the process of creating a new site for myself, and I'm in need of someone who can draw or use computer design tools well. I need a picture of a chimera. I've found a lot of pictures online, but none that I would be comfortable using. I know that there are a lot of interpretations on what a chimera looks like, but if you're interested, email me and we can talk more specifically about it.
Thanks! |

Try finding an artist whose style you like - for instance http://www.beat13.co.uk have a very specific style, and you'll know whether it's what you need or not. Then mail the artist and ask them for a quote. If this is to be your site identity, you will be better to purchase the rights outright (artist-for-hire), but you could also ask about leasing a perpetual non-exclusive license (or an exclusive license will be dearer). If it's going to be your corporate logo for any kind of business, though, buy the rights to the image.
Cost? $100-$1000 depending on the artist.
hope this helps - kinda turns the problem on its head a bit for you! |

I know some people who have gotten designs at http://forum.yaxay.com
People post a contest offering a $25 award (or more) for a winning logo design. Designers come up with different ideas for you.
Hope this may be of help.

Thanks for the ideas. I'll check them out.
And dabugster, I'm not getting any errors going to any of the pages on my site, nor have any of my users reported anything. I honestly couldn't tell you what is causing that. |

Strange. I'm getting the error in IE, but not FireFox. The error doesn't happen when I click a link that doesn't pop open a new window. I think I'll post that in the MOD w/code forum. Thanks for pointing it out. |
