Hello tere. I have recently tried to install an active users mod (not the one found on snitzbits the other one) but it hasn't worked properly... I get the following error message in the statistics table on the default page:

Microsoft VBScript runtime  error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'fLang'

/inc_activeusers.asp, line 141

and the following error message in my admin table where it should give me the configuration options for the mod:

Microsoft VBScript runtime  error '800a000d'

Type mismatch: 'fLang'

/admin_home.asp, line 129

How can I sort this out anyone? Please help I am very desperate...

Go back through the readme and make sure you have applied all the code changes, in particular those related to the language packs.

Thanks - I have tried searching but I cannot find the answer... I have been through the code on the two pages specifically and the language things but nothing seems to work.

There was one language file I did not upload as my forum already had that file and I had made other changes to it could that be the problem?

If you already had that file, it was from an older version of the mod and you should upload the newer version from the zip.

Yes, the file name stands for (roughly) "Language Mod for LS3K's (Nathan's website) Auctive Users 4" to differentiate it from other language files. Take a backup of the old file, though, if you have any doubts.

I use Snitz 3.4.05 and had the same problem. The solution for me was to follow the AU readme file. Under language installation, step 2. That is, paste the following at the very bottom of your existing onfig.asp file, replacing the last %> in the file:

'#################################################################################
'######################## ADDED FOR INTERNATIONAL MODS! #########################
strLangLCID = "1033"
function fLang(s)
' fLang=eval(s) ' commented out for IIS 4 compatibility, all related function calls changed
fLang=s
end function
%>
<!--#include file="langMODS_Ls3kAU4.asp"-->
