Ok, I'm about to do an IP ban mod upgrade to my site.

http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=19953

I just want to get a few things straight.

The mod says it works for 3.3.03 version of Snitz. I have 3.4.03. Will it still work for mine?

Also, in the asp files that I need to edit the code, do I add in the "#####..." or are those just there for reference purposes?

Don't know where you're getting all these outdadted mods from but the latest versions of all mods can be found over at Snitz Bitz or in the Mod W/Code forum here.

Well, Snitz bitz has the exact same IP ban mod that I linked to:

http://www.snitzbitz.com/mods/details.asp?Version=All&mid=120

The only question I have is if 3.3 will work for 3.4

I've already made an update designed for 3.3 and it worked flawlessly, but the IP ban requires database upgrades so I want to be sure before I get into that.

Edit:

One more problem. The mod requires me to modify inc_top.asp. However, I don't have that file on my server at all. Would it be allright to simply upload that entire file to my server?

Exactly why this mod shouldn't be used with version 3.4.x of the forums, if a mod says it is for a different version of the forums then it won't be compatible. As you get more familiar with how Snitz works and each individual mod, you'll find that a handful written for v3.3.x are still usable with v3.4.x with little or no tweaking but, for now, stay away from them.
