I have not had a lot of time in my day to finish this mod I started a little over a month ago but finally have a test account running online for testing purposes. Due to the hos being a free host I do not have the authorization to upload mp3 files but you can see theretically how the site page will work based on a few variables. I still need some fine tuning of my admin options so I may be able to do a few things: As of right now I have to manually key into the db the file location. I would like to be able to assign a default folder for all possible files and in my inc_pop_profile.asp and register.asp be able to write the url of the file with my existing sql statement. The only thing it does not write as of right now is the actual folder name and the \. The other area which is solely in the admin options is the ability to upload each file and record the upload into another tbl within the db. Due to the "sensitivity" of the files potentially being a part of this mod.....I must remind you that I am not your lawyer. If someone so chooses to use such a mod then it's at ones own will....I just know there are many potential strong uses for this mod and thought a few other brave souls out there would enjoy such a mod. I still need help finishing it regardless if anyon ever uses it....just so we can say here you go....enjoy! Below is a link with 2 test account names. It is an interesting concept, but with-out the music authors permission, you could wind up in trouble. Send me an e-mail and I will see how much I can help with it.
Trust me this I know. I am by no means "warranting" music pirating. I am hoping to create a means....what people do with their snitz is their business but I am sure their are a many personal fan sites out there (music industry) that could find this a useful tool and perhaps an inticing tool to become part of the snitz family by offering a way for their artist to be share on the net. Personally I am just killing time until Speedball 3 comes available because I had to rechange my entire site when I went from Snitz Std to Speedball 2 and am quite certain a great rvamp will be required for Speedball 3. Just wanted to stop in and see if you had any luck tweaking those pages? I should have this evening free if you need any help as I will once again try and get the folders page working as wanted. I have been trying to get my mod to work in netscape but am still having to tweak some of the incompatible code a bit. Thanks again for the help.
