Hi, I'm very new to this so hope you can help. On my forum when you go to upload a picture to a post it allows you to browse for the picture and then select it. When you press the upload button it says page cannot be displed HTTP 500 Internal server error.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Make sure you uploaded all the files that came with the MOD package, and that they are in the correct location.

Go in to your Internet Options of your browser and in the Advanced tab, make sure that Show friendly HTTP error messages and Show friendly URLs are turned off (no tick there).

Then go back in to your page and see what the error is. That will get you better help.

Thanks for your help

I've turned the friendly HTTP errors off and it now gives me this error:

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied

/forum/outputFile.asp, line 47

any clearer?

Thanks again

That simply means that you do not have permission to upload files to the are that you want them to go. The directory needs to be set to Read/Write/Modify and Execute for the IUSR account. You will need to get your host to set those permissions on the directory it is trying to upload to.

Execute may be going a bit far, but read/write at the very least.
