I have checked and double checked and can find no answer to this question. All my members except one are notified by email when someone posts to a forum they are subscribed to.This one member who is subscribed to the forum receives no notification. We have checked his email settings and they are correct.Does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe his mail server is rejecting it.

It could also be delivered to his spam folder or some other mail filter software is deleting it before he gets it.

It could be very hard to diagnose but here are some more options.

1. Check that he is in fact subscribed to the forum by going to "All Subscriptions" on the top right of your forum when logged in as admin.
2. Check your mail server logs (if you can) to see if the mail was in fact sent.
3. Check the sendee's mail server logs (or get the host to do it) to see if a filter deleted the mail before it got to his spam or inbox.

Longshot - Does his email address contain any non alphanumeric characters apart from @ and . ?

Well then as I see it it must be the destination mail server. They may be able to trace the reason for it by digging through their logs.
