OK...
I have the forums up & running great.
I have a purchased version of ArgoSoft Mail Server Plus.
I have also downloaded, and installed JMail Free Version.

No matter what I do I can't get the forums to send out any type of email outside of my local systems.

My Deerfield.Com DNS2Go name is: JSComputer.D2G.Com

I can reach my mail server over the internet by the same name with a port # after it.

I am running MS Server 2000.

I have the right ports open on my router.

The computer is named SERVER.
The IP is 192.168.1.66

In the forums I have configured the email component to all of the following, and each time nothing happens different.
It always states that the newsletter is sent, but it isn't.

I have tried...
localhost, 192.168.1.66, 127.0.0.1, JSComputer.D2G.Com

What should the component be...
CDonts (and which one), JMail

I have also setup IIS to have a SMTP server on port 26 so that Argosoft Mail Server still works correct on port 25.

Please help with detailed instructions.

Is it just the newsletter, or ALL emails?

I know it also doesn't send the initial registration email either.

Have you checked the Argosoft Mail Server logs?

That will tell you if its a problem with the mail server not relaying. It may not relay the mail because it requires authentication or some other rule setup on the mail server.

If there is nothing in the logs then the email isn't getting that far and its a problem with your setup.

Can some people try to register on the forums, and let me know if they get the registration email. I have screwed around with some different things, and want to see if it works now. Thanks.
