Iīm trying to add IIS to my fresh install of Windows XP Pro SP2, but it doesnīt install it, even though I add it in the Add/Remove Windows Components and have the CD for additional files. After itīs done "installing", nothing happens, no IIS.

Am I missing something here?

Is the World Wide Web publishing service running? If it's 'hung' you might have a conflict with some firewall software.

I have a firewall installed, maybe I should disable it before installing IIS, I canīt see any Administrative Tools, but I do see the inetpub folder and all the contents.

If your using the classic Windows start menu try right clicking on Start then go Properties, Start Menu, Customise and tick Administrative Tools.

It should also be listed as a service under Services.

Have you tried going to http://127.0.0.1 or http://localhost
Does it display anything or timeout ?

If you don't want the admin tools on your start menu, you can untick it, even without it being enabled, it is always listed as a control panel option.
