Would there be a way to manage forums subscriptions at the user level, i.e. if user XYZ has Box A checked and date is <xx/xx/200x then he can access forums ABC, repeat for two/three forums. I realize that this is not available by default, but how difficult would it be to implement this ? I'm finding myself dealing with large access lists for restricted forums and not only is it a pain to add people by scrolling down (with the help of first letter jumping fortunately) the list of 40,000+ members, but I keep hitting the 500 limit (7x now) so I have to duplicate the contents of each section...Can't do that forever !
Not sure if there's a special section of the forums for specific development work, but I have a budget for that if someone can help implement this. |

Yes thanks, I did, it would help to overcome the limitations, but adding people to the user group is still going to be a difficult process. Since I posted, a friend is helping me to set up a simple interface where you type de UserID, select two forums and the access info gets written directly bypassing the current interface. |

Quick question, we've gotten pretty far down the road, but now need to prevent in xxx/post.asp?method=EditForum&FORUM_ID=xxx&CAT_ID=xx&type=0 the "Allowed Member List" from being loaded (got that part by deleting lines 1197/1297 in post.asp) and more importantly UPDATED because so far, not loading it, erases it completely when hitting "Post". Can't really use the existing post.asp either because with 3,500+ members in the "Allowed Member List" it just won't load properly. |
