I know, I know, nobody wants one. That's not what I'm posting.
I just logged onto my Gmail, (I never do I usually use Thunderbird) and I saw that I have 50 invites. I couldn't get rid of 6, what am I supposed to do with 50? What is Googles intention for something so foolish? I presume it will not be beta much longer.
(if anyone wants one, just e-mail me ) |

After you posted, I checked my account. Sure enough, I've got 50 also... I agree with your guess that it won't be beta for very long. The invites are just getting ridiculous. |

I've got 50 too, which is an awful amount to try to get rid of! A sure sign that it is about to become fully live.
Just out of interest, does anybody using Gmail ever notice the AdWords ads on the right-hand side? I've almost forgotten they're there. I can't imagine they have anything much more than a 0.1% CTR. |

Hmm, this is interesting about the ads. I use Thunderbird, and I'm sure lot's of others use another client beside the web based application. The ads aren't delivered with the messages. I wonder how successful this will be for them, or if the ads will start to travel with the e-mail. |

The ads only show up when accessing your gmail email via the web. They don't show up otherwise.
And yes, google has pushed the invites for everyone, to boost the user base before they go out of beta. At least, that's what the media thinks. |
