I installed the Smile Manager in order to be able to add more smilies, but now the images look distorted in the smile list and in posts, like this:

As you can see, the original Snitz smilies are blown up in the list box, and the ones I added (the top row) look distorted too - Those were 20x20 originally, and I thought maybe resizing them to 19x19 would help, but obviously not.

How can I remove the standard size of the smilies in the list and in posts, so they keep their original size?

You need to set the dimensions for each image in inc_iconfiles.asp so the original Snitz smilies are 15 pixels aquare and your new ones are 20 pixels square.

These new smilies don't appear in inc_iconfiles... The original ones do, but I don't think the Smile Manager MOD even uses inc_iconfiles anymore.

If i remember right, you have to set the dimensions from a new Admin page.

Lesson learned! Should really familiarise myself with a mod before making assumptions about how it works and trying to answer questions on it, shouldn't I?!

I ran all DBS files, and on the admin page the only thing that has something to do with size (somewhat) is the colspan option, which allows you to give wide smilies more than one column to appear in.

Here's the strange thing: On pop_preview the new smilies do appear in their original dimensions...
