I have installed the F.A.Q. mod (v1.1) from OneWayMule on Snitz Forums 2000 v3.4.05, but am now experiencing problems when accessing the FAQs.

If I am not logged in, the FAQ link brings up the message "No categories found."

If I am logged in, the FAQ link brings up all the default contents except the Smileys, but still has the Smileys details further down. (Smileys are enabled on my website.)

If I am logged in, the FAQ link also brings up an item listed as "What does it mean if a forum has Moderation enabled?" in the contents, but this item does not appear further down in the meat of the FAQ. (Moderation is disabled on my website.)

To summarise:
  • Smileys do not appear in default contents - Incorrect

  • Smileys appear in meat of FAQ - Correct

  • Moderation appears in default contents - Incorrect

  • Moderation does not appear in meat of FAQ - Correct


Any ideas on correcting this problem will be most welcome.

OneWayMule,

I am having trouble with the FAQ.asp since version 3.4.05 had some changes to the faq.asp. I'm not sure what lines to keep and overwrite. Any advice?

Having same issue. Smiles are enabled and are in database as well as admin section. Comment on list doesn't show but section is present on the page by scrolling down. Same for moderator section as above.

Did you make sure the autorization type on each category was set to "All Useres"?

If it is not, then anybody not allowed to view those categories will not see them - and if there are none for them to see they will get that message.

Is set to all users any visitors can see faq page just not the smiley category. It show in admin category as being part but doesn't show on faq's page.
