I am trying to register a user and after clicking on the agree button it reloads the policy.asp page again. I can't get it to go past that? Any ideas what it might be? |

Ok I figured out what the problem was. I added the active user mod to the forum. I took it out and bam it works now. I wonder why it was messing it up? any ideas? |

I’ve lost the plot big time on this one. Can anyone see where I’m going wrong.
I have a snitz board up and running at www.totga.net/ One club member is running NIS with Auto Protect turned on. He gets looped at the policy page when trying to register.
OK so I install the HTTP Referer Mod in the in_header.asp and inc_ header_short.asp as per instructions. He still gets looped. So I install Gauravbhabu's HTTP_REFERER mod in policy.asp and registration.asp again as per instructions. Now he gets this error message Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a000d'
Type mismatch: 'GetReferer'
/totga/snitz/policy.asp, line 49
I am lost now. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

The Referer mod fixes the problem. However, you must be sure that your inc_header.asp file, previous to the mod change, is not being cached by the server, which occurs rather frequently.
Get a fresh inc_header.asp, add the Referer mod and then rename inc_header.asp, say, inc_header2.asp. Then try to get to your forum. If you can, then the server is caching the file, and you need to contact your host for them to reset the server. |

OK, replaced inc_header.asp with a fresh page and reinstalled the mod. Renamed it inc_header2.asp and deleted the original inc_header.asp. Could not access site so I assume that tells me that the server did not cach the original page. Renamed the fresh file inc_header2.asp back to inc_header.asp and I can access site OK again.
Is there anyone viewing this who is running NIS who could test this for me by trying to access the registration page at www.totga.net/ and let me know if it works?
Thanks |
