Hi.
I need a secure forum and thus have email validation "on" and restrict registration "on" - and email mode "on".
I have been given the email server address by my host (a ".ac.uk" address) and they say that they use JMail 4.3 so I have selected email component JMail 4.x.
When I approve people, though, they don't get an email.
Have I missed something obvious or is the .ac.uk creating probs?
Hoping someone can advise...

Problem solved! I called my host providers AND my university IT department. Between them they gave me three different email server addresses, all completely wrong.
I found the correct address lurking in a form.
And I'm mightally relieved!
The moral of the story, don't trust anyone.  |
