Recently several users have e-mailed me to say that they can't change their e-mail address in their profile...they type the new one in the e-mail text box, but when they go to save their profile it defaults back to the original e-mail they specified.
I had to manually change the e-mail address in the MySQL database - but while I was there I noticed a seperate row in the database for 'NEW_EMAILADDRESS' or something like that, which did have the correct new address already in it.
Is there anything wrong with the function of my snitz forum?
why is there a 'NEW_EMAILADDRESS' field?
why can't the user seem to change their own default e-mail address?
is it OK for me to change e-mails manually in the MySQL database?
Do you have email validation turned on for registrations, if so when changing your email address, an email is sent to the new address for confirmation, it will only change once the confirmation link has been used.
