Ok, this may sound like a silly question- but "exactly" how do you archive topics in a forum? I don't want it to archive ALL topics in the forum, just the old ones (maybe the past 3 months???).
I am an admin on our site (http://forum.nchorsenews.com), but have no idea how to do this. I was somewhat thrown into the position (used to be moderator) when the site owner passed away early last year and we haven't been able to figure this out. We THOUGHT it was auto archived, but it's not looking like that now!
The owner's husband basically left me in charge of the forums and I'm still trying to learn all of this stuff (it's been almost a year now and I'm still trying to figure it all out). Any help with archiving would be so greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate it!
We have version 3.4.03 so I guess I'm in the wrong forum??? Sorry about that! How do you upgrade to the newer version and will you lose all posts in the current one?
You can upgrade without losing any information. Just go to the download page and follow the directions explicitly.
*but*
If you have modifications installed, you'll need to re-install the code for those mods on the new pages, and any database-related mods may become truncated.
Thank you again for all of your help! I really appreciate you taking the time to educate me a little... I'm sure I'll be back again with another goofy question!
