| I've having a horrible time with my forum just running it off of PWS. It all worked perfectly for weeks but one day my computer froze and I had to restart. Then when ever I tried to login, it say that it was verfied but when I came back to default.asp or whatever page I was at, it still that the username and password boxes. I reinstall the script, reinstalled pws, deleted all my cookies, but nothing has worked. Any one have any ideas? |

Ok, that is another way of saying <-- bump --> 
We weren't ignoring your question, just don't think anyone knew an answer to it.
I mean, it worked ok, so you all all the setup settings ok, you didn't change anything, rebooted and it didn't work anymore. Doesn't really give something to work with.
You didn't disable the use of cookies in your browser did you ?

Ya, sorry about that, I got a little aggrivated with whole, it not working then no one responding deal. Ya, cookies are all set and everything, it is really confusing, I even tried to run the forum from a totally different directory, and it still doesn't work. It the weirdest thing that has ever happened. Maybe I'll have to re-install Windows, but that isn't any fun.

Well, I'm sorry but I can't help you then. This looks like a cookie problem, but if you allow cookies I don't know what to have you look for anymore. If you get the main screen, the forum works, if it says you are logged on succesfully, the connection to the database is ok, ASP is working properly otherwise all the think before wouldn't have worked either.....sorry

I just started working again, and I didn't do anything different!!! That was a really weird little bug!!! I wish I knew what happened!
