Hi all

I have just enabled the e-mail facility on my snitz forum having worked out I could do it.

A couple of questions:
Now e-mail is enabled, is it possible for people to automatically spam the system and cause problems for my users with spam mail? If so, can I make the system continue to use the old system for e-mailing each other (i.e. through outlook express by clicking on the link) while still keeping the e-mail facility on so that people can e-mail their friends about topics? If so, how do I do this?

Now the facility is turned on, will users automatically get sent an e-mail when someone posts in their topic. Is it possible to switch this facility on and off / and / or give users the option to be e-mailed when a particular topic gets a new post even if they were not the original poster on the topic? (is this done through subscriptions??)

Thank you for your help :-)

Members email info is hidden so no they can't be "spammed"

You need to also enable subscriptions if you want users to be able to receive emails when topics have been updated etc. Check the FAQ link at the top of your forum for a little more info.
