(or am I wrong?)
Should work, and if it dont just ask for help |

that was my thought, BUT it dont have the mods I want in it :) (I had enough problems setting it up as it was, adding mods kills me! I just added the portal, seems to work, dont have a clue how to work it, Private messages mod... dont even ask!!! (http://forum.snitz.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=54086&whichpage=5 towards the bottom of the page) Active users went in OK, So did the extra smileys and the avatars thing, Plus IP Gate (although it aint keeping my pet pain out) so I am moderately happy with that, but I would love to get Private messages working as well. With that lot installed, I am sure I could adjust the files (When I know which ones) to point to my database, I think that has all the users, categories, forums and posts on it doesnt it?
If anyone with too much time on their hands feels like taking that job on, feel free to email me :) |

no it wouldn't work(correct me if I'm wrong)any mod that adds tables to the DB will require running its db file to insert tables in his database, which means that he will have to download all installed mods just to run its db file.

Ah, well theres the clever thing innit, cos in the files you leave all the dbs files, so the code is all written, then dropped into place, and just run the dbs files for those mods not already installed/partially installed |

Ooooh! Me wants one too! But more than that, I need a modder :( Every time I try to add a mod, (Like Poll Mod, Portal Mod, Split topic Mod) I screw it up and either it wont work at all, or I cant set it up (Specifically the portal)Is there some youngster out there that just loves adding mods purely for the kudos and grattitude of an old geezer? |

RevDaveB have you considered using any of these modded forums and there was another one recently i can't find it but i remember it has 25 mods installed. IMHO its best if you installed mods yourself, the above mentioned modded forums might be overkill (excuse the expression REV)have mods that you don't need.
BTW bballillirt your download link is not working,i needed what wizard asked for.

If you are looking for mods, go to maxwebportalmods.com. There you will find a bunch of mods that with a little bit of changing, will work with Snitz. The changs needed are mostly theme related. They use inc_top.asp for inc_header.asp, basically the same. The admin security check is a different number so you need to change it. Overall the needed changes are minor.
They gathered all the mods and code snippets available from the old maxwebportal.com site, and from other members to put into one site.

Ye, not sure what version.
They have added their own password encryption so it's older than 3.3 But look's quite flash, and saw there looking to change it a total CSS code on their next release.
