When my users do a search, they get some weird results. The FIRST and sometimes second return is fine, but the search function returns sometimes hundreds of pages -
FOR INSTANCE --
I did a search on Teamspeak, and the following is what was found:

and if you click on pretty much anything other than the first one of the many many links that should be a "hit" on the returned search - I get

Does anyone have an idea what has happened? This forum has been up and running most of the last year, but I do not knwo when the error was interduced.

If anyone has any ideas, I am just curious!! Thanks!

Are you using an unmodified Snitz forum?

No
There are a few mods, but most of them have been in place for quite sometime.
The last one I added was the Polls - (forgot the version number) but even that was some time back.
This was something I had not even seen until somone brought it to my attention.

I was hoping that there was someone with some experience in the SEARCH function that could help me troubleshoot. I am really at a loss as to where to begin...

ump14, please do as Da_Stimulator asked:

could you post a link to your search.asp file in text format?

Code posted as text is of no use to us.

After really looking at the file, I went to an earlier version BEFORE the last mod and just replaced it one for one.

THAT worked.

I took one from 3 months ago - shortly after the Poll Mod Upgrade (alreadythinkign that it was a coding error on my part)...The error occurred.
I compared my search.asp to Kal Corp and found some anomolies. Withy that I went back to the one that I had used on the very first test - before the poll mod updates, and its working fine now.
I will go back and see what line I made the mistakes on during the upgrade, but for now the problem was resolved -

Thanks for the help and for making mer really take a step back and LOOK at what I was doing and when...
