I strongly recommend that you try the demos of each of the stats software available before you purchase. I've used Livestats 5.0 in the past which I thought was good until it slowed the server to a crawl, Webtrends which was ok and finally Urchin which I really like.
now I see what you mean Huwr, I've installed smartstats and thought that everything worked out until I checked the site info, he he 8 months of logs apparently have bad lines through them. So SmartStats refuses to process them. Oops back to the drawing board. BTW thanks pdrg and Podge for the info, once again though I could not find anything in Urchin that would report whos on the site right now and what page they're viewing. I wish I could find something simple like the activer users mod but to work with the whole site not just the forums.
