Hi

I would like to make the "tree structure" at the upper left corner flat (like: http://toshiaitate.kuroiban.net/forum.asp?forum_id=11). Can anyone help me...?

Also I have installed the "color hover mod" (thanks miperez!)
but would like the link area to be the entire cell - not just the heading... Can any one help?

Let me try with this one. The flat tree was hand edited in the pages normal users can see. I didn't care about the backend (at first).

Basically, there are two things you need to do.

1. You have to find the table that holds all the folder icons and L shaped bars, remove the icons and replace the br tag with a dot | or some such of your preference. This takes some time, but IIRC there is only one tree per page.

2. I replaced all instances of All Forums with strForumTitle in the unlikely case of me changing the forum name.

The files normal users see, and thus need editing, from the top of my head, are: default.asp, topic.asp, forum.asp, pop_profile.asp, inc_profile.asp, active.asp, faq.asp, polocy.asp, members.asp, search.asp.

I can dig and quote the stuff if you need to.

IIRC, Opera and quite possibly Netscape will not read the table cells as links, so that might be a bad idea.

Thanks Ranko - I'll give it a shot tonight and be back if I run into problems...;-)

If Netscape doesn't support table cells as links then I'll def. stay away from it.

Thanks for the answers - and have a great weekend
